The Aerie is super excited to welcome instructor Caren Rahn. You may have seen Caren hoping in and out of the beautiful windows at Panterra, where she creates amazing retail vignettes, but did you know she is also a certified Step and Aerobics instructor? Caren started teaching OG Jane Fonda style aerobics (leg warmers and all) in racquetball courts back in 1983 and fell in love. In 1987 she was hired by an aerobic/dance studio and taught high impact aerobics while also learning to demonstrate modified moves for low and non-impact students. It was during this time that Caren also learned how to make her own music and choreograph each song. Over the next 5 years Caren received her aerobics and personal training certifications followed by a step certification in 1992. Always a boss, Caren opened up her own studio and taught Step and toning classes for the next 15 years. We are so excited to have Caren share her energy and skills with us at The Aerie!

MONDAYS AT THE STUDIO
Fit N Sit – Exercise with Caren 8:30-9:30 AM November 17 & 24th.
This class is high on fun and energy but low impact on joints. Perfect for folks who may be recovering from injury or who are looking for a low-impact fitness regime. Fit N Sit is a class designed to improve strength, flexibility, cardiovascular health and core muscles without putting excessive strain on your joints. The chair exercise will also improve your posture, reduce stiffness, increase circulation and enhance your overall mood. It will be a mix of non-impact aerobics, stretching, arm work and chair toning ending with stretch and calm. The main focus is on safety and fun.
Chairs are provided. Bring your own hand weights (or you can use 2 water bottles)
First class is free. $10/drop in or $80 for 10 classes.

Advanced Pole 7:15-8:15 PM – November 3, 17 & 24th
Open to Lunar Landing students who have completed the prerequisite pole levels at the San Jose studio, this class focuses on stage pole for performance. Learn advanced skills and choreography while building stamina and strength! Please text Angela at 208-473-1249 for skill requirements and availability.
TUESDAYS AT THE STUDIO
Mixed Apparatus Aerial with Sarah 5:30-7 PM – November 18 & 25th
New 4-week series starts November 18th!
There’s more to aerial than just aerial silks and in this series, students will learn the basic building blocks of Lyra & Sling. Build strength and confidence as you learn how to safely mount, pose, and navigate movement on these apparatus. This is a mixed level class and no experience is necessary! Aerial Yoga – 7:15-8:15 PM – November 4, 11, 18 & 25th
Lunar Landing instructors host Aerial Yoga weekly at the Aerie. Aerial Yoga embraces the physical and psychological benefits of yoga with added emphasis on stabilization and traction. The use of a low aerial hammock allows ease of inversion, added grip strength and fluidity of movement. Modifications will be made for all ability levels.

Flamenco Dance with Julianna – 3-4 PM November 5, 12, 19 & 26th
Learn the basics of Flamenco with local dance legend Julianna of Maha Via in this class designed to cultivate your strength, attitude and beautiful movements!! No shoes required. All levels welcome! Cost of $75 for the six-week session.
