Central School Project presents Kurt Vonnegut’s Slaughterhouse Five (1972) The movie won the Jury Prize in Cannes as well as Saturn and Hugo Awards. Vonnegut called it a ‘flawless translation’, but the movie failed at the box office and faded into the background. But there is much to be admired, it’s funny, shocking and thoughtful, with a strong message, which has only became more important. Gates 6:30, movie 7 pm. Bring them to the SHED-IT SHRED-IT event on Saturday, May 10 from 9am to noon at the Ace parking lot on Naco Highway. The suggested $10 per box donation covers the cost of getting the shredding truck to Bisbee, with the remainder of the donation supporting Bisbee Community Chorus expenses. Volunteers also accept eyeglasses for recycling and samples of toiletries to pass on to local shelters. Sorry – no electronics or pills this time.
