Alice in Bisbeeland is an all-town cosplay where everyone dresses up like their favorite character from the Lewis Carroll novels. Plus the annual 4/20 music festival is at the The Bisbee Grand on Monday!

It’s not just pizza and star gazing this week at Pie in the Sky at the Science Lab on 519 Melody Lane. A new boutique of recycled, gently worn clothes is opening to raise funds for the Backyard Project. We have lots of cute, stylish clothes as well as some vintage clothes and men’s wear. Our first opening is tonight from 7 to 9. We will restock and be open Earth Day and during the May Ice Cream Social.

Join your friends and neighbors for an afternoon of three-part harmony as the Bisbee Community Chorus presents its spring concert. The Chorus sings classic choral pieces, a folk song, a Broadway tune, and several pop songs from the 70s. Concerts will feature award-winning flutist Alannah Murphy and the debut of the Bisbee Community Band. Two performances: Sunday, April 26 and again on Sunday, May 3. Concert hall is at 24 Howell Ave., in Old Bisbee, just up the street from the Copper Queen Hotel. Show time is 3 pm both days, and tickets are $15, with kids and teens free.
Have some personal papers you want to see shredded? Old tax info, credit card and bank statements, medical records? Bring them to the Shed-It/Shred-It event on Saturday, May 9 from 9am to noon at the Ace parking lot on Naco Highway. This is a regular fundraiser for the Bisbee Community Chorus. The suggested $10 per box donation pays for the cost of getting the shredding truck to Bisbee, with the remainder of the donation supporting Chorus expenses. Volunteers will unload for you and also accept eyeglasses for recycling and samples of toothpaste and toiletries to pass on the local shelters. Sorry – no electronics or meds.

Bisbee Fiber Arts Guild is a cooperative of weavers, spinners, knitters and other artisans. The Stepping Back in Time Walking Tour with historian Boyd Nicholl will take you through the streets of Bisbee while sharing the community’s history.
