rik Holland moved to Bisbee from Bismarck, North Dakota, in January 2025 after serving as Curator of Education for the State Historical Society of North Dakota. During a Thanksgiving visit to Bisbee in 2024 to see his niece and her five-year-old daughter, he stopped by Bisbee Books & Music while searching for a book he couldn’t find at the library. When he learned that owner, Craig, was preparing to close the store, Erik jokingly asked, “If I bought the store, could I get the book?” Before long, the joke became reality.
